Practical safety training by Scheuch

Together for occupational safety

The annual safety days by and at Scheuch were a great success again this year.

Scheuch, an important supplier of environmental engineering solutions, is continuing its safety training in 2024, and with these safety days it is again making a strong statement for occupational safety.

On March 28-29, 80 Scheuch employees practiced and learned about safety on lifting platforms, how to handle breathing masks, performed rescue exercises at depths, in tight spaces and in ducts. Important cooperation partners such as MTS Messtechnik Sauerland GmbH, AUVA, Safety Certification GmbH as well as Haberkorn GmbH gave speeches or provided support with training equipment.

The training took place at Scheuch's headquarters, while practical training was carried out at the Aurolzmünster fire department, who made their facilities available this year as well. This partnership makes it possible for participants to directly test and reinforce the skills they learned under realistic conditions. "It is not easy to react correctly in difficult situations. With the Scheuch safety days and the statutory standardised instruction and training, Scheuch is taking on responsibility and offering the opportunity for safety training under real conditions. The more often work situations are practiced, the easier it is to perform the associated safety measures and manoeuvres by hand", stresses Lisa Strasser, Scheuch Team Leader Quality Management & Control.

Ing. Hubert Müller, AUVA: "Climbing into confined spaces and containers and working on elevated stands are particularly hazardous situations. This makes it even more important to train employees. However, the design of the products and the organisation of work are also very important in order to ensure safe working practices when servicing."

The Scheuch safety days demonstrate the company's continuous commitment to the safety of its employees. By means of practical exercises and close cooperation with experts, safety standards are continuously improved and further developed. For this reason, Scheuch has become a role model in the region.

With its 1500 employees, Scheuch has specialised in the manufacture of high quality products and systems for air pollution control. The company has been setting standards for many years regarding environmental protection, placing great importance on safety at the work place and is a reliable partner for customers worldwide.
