Scheuch’s Safety Days feature practical exercises and specialist presentations.

Practical exercises, specialist presentations and in-depth discussions were the focus of this year’s Scheuch Safety Days. On 2 and 3 April, employees of the environmental technology company practised dealing with various situations encountered in their day-to-day work and deepened their knowledge of occupational safety and hazard prevention.

Practical training

On the first day, employees practised various safety-related scenarios under realistic conditions. On the premises of the Aurolzmünster Volunteer Fire Brigade, they were able to deepen their knowledge and practise key procedures at several practical stations. Topics included the safe securing of loads, exercises with aerial work platforms, and working on scaffolding and ladders.
Specialised training sessions were also on the programme: these included practising access to containers and confined spaces, as well as the use of personal protective equipment against falls from a height. In addition, partner companies provided information on the safe use of tools and on protective measures when working in high temperatures on construction sites.

Expertise from specialists

The second day was devoted to specialist presentations and training sessions. Experts shared the latest insights on topics such as explosion protection (ATEX), fire safety, legal requirements for construction site operations, and collaboration with external contractors.
Aspects of work organisation and health were also covered – such as mental health in the workplace. In addition, internal training sessions provided information on digital systems for reporting near-misses and on e-learning opportunities within the company.

Safety as part of the corporate culture

All of Scheuch’s business divisions regularly organise safety training sessions tailored to the specific requirements of their respective roles. The aim is to continuously raise employees’ awareness of potential hazards and reinforce safe working practices in their day-to-day work.
“Our safety days provide an opportunity to refresh knowledge, learn about new developments and practise safety-related procedures in a practical setting. In doing so, they make an important contribution to embedding safety in our daily working lives on a permanent basis,” says Lisa Strasser, Team Leader HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment and Quality) at Scheuch.
Through its annual safety days and collaboration with experienced partners, Scheuch is sending a clear signal regarding responsible working practices and high safety standards across all areas of the company. Scheuch’s ongoing commitment to occupational safety has made the company a key driving force for safe working standards in the region for many years.
