Open doors for the next generation

During the ”Long Night of Research”, the Scheuch Group opened its doors and captivated visitors with insights into modern manufacturing, environmental technology and innovation.

.Numerous visitors took the opportunity during the “Long Night of Research” to take a look behind the scenes at the Scheuch Group in Aurolzmünster. On 24 April, the company opened its doors and demonstrated the extent of technical expertise employed in development and production.

Experiencing innovation

Key pieces of equipment were showcased during guided tours. These included a new, computer-controlled coiling machine and a 5-axis machining centre with automated robotic loading. A heavy-duty lathe, used to precisely manufacture large and complex components, was also part of the tour. These insights highlighted just how much digitalisation, expertise and precision go into each individual production step.

A presentation rounded off the programme, focusing on how environmental technology will develop in the future. It demonstrated how innovative technologies and sustainable approaches are combined at Scheuch to create solutions for industrial applications.

The topic of air pollution control was presented interactively in a walk-through station. Visitors were able to follow the path of exhaust air purification step by step – from the formation of polluted air to the purified exhaust air. Various physical and chemical processes were explained clearly.

Getting people interested

The “Long Night of Research” demonstrated once again just how important direct engagement with the public is – particularly with the younger generation. Scheuch deliberately uses formats such as Talent Days, Girls’ Day and school visit programmes to spark an early interest in technology and environmental issues and to provide insights into career opportunities.

Through events such as these, the Scheuch Group underlines its commitment to bringing innovation to life and fostering a lasting enthusiasm for technology.
Stefan Scheuch, CEO of the Scheuch Group, emphasises: “It is impressive to see the curiosity with which our visitors immerse themselves in the world of technology. Inspiring young people in particular is a major priority for us. The “Long Night of Research” is an ideal platform for this.”
