Scheuch offers a comprehensive program of ducting for extraction systems as well as pneumatic conveying systems. These allow us to satisfy many different requirements. In general we differentiate between heavy-duty and standard duct components.
The heavy ducts are made of steel or stainless steel with a thickness of up to 6 mm (1/4in). Standard duct parts are galvanized with a thickness of up to 3 mm (1/8in) which were specifically developed for the wood processing industry.
Producing and processing metals generally creates significant exhaust air volume flow rates – with energy consumption and contamination levels to match.
In this sector, not all processes or treatments can be directly coupled to or enclosed in extraction devices. This means that emissions (dust, waste heat, gaseous substances, etc.) have to be collected using secondary methods – that is, at a location other than the point where they arise – in order to achieve the desired level of air quality in the working area or environment in question. The emission stream dilution associated with this technique determines the required collection flow volume and therefore has a direct impact on the investment and operating costs for the dedusting plant.
Scheuch adopts a methodical approach to determining the characteristics of the emission stream in a verifiable way (observations are made during operation and then documented and evaluated) and to creating the ideal extraction hood design using CFD, with basic operational conditions taken into account.
Scheuch heavy-duty pipes and duct components have a welded structure and come in sheet metal thicknesses of up to 6 mm and diameters of up to 4,500 mm.
The individual pipes, duct components and preformed parts are connected using flanges (similar to DIN EN 12220) and frames (DIN 24196/R1-R3), ensuring that assembly can be carried out quickly and easily.
All components use high-quality sheet metal made from St37-2, stainless steel and heat or wear-resistant materials. Depending on the material, maximum operating temperatures of 450°C are possible.
The extremely stable construction permits overpressure and partial vacuum conditions of up to 15,000 Pa as well as flow velocities of up to 25 m/s.
We also offer an intelligent support and suspension concept that adapts to virtually any situation to ensure straightforward assembly and fastening of pipes and duct components.
Scheuch has developed a new pipe system – LIGNO – specifically with the wood processing industry and craft trades in mind.
A complete system with nominal diameters ranging from 80 to 355 mm and a standard pipe length of 1,500 mm, it comes in a galvanised design. The system includes all pipe and pipe connecting elements, as well as supports and mounting materials. All components have been fine-tuned to work together and offer exceptional fitting accuracy because of their flow-optimised design.
Thanks to a specially designed connecting clip – featuring three-point fastening – as well as an assembly tool developed in-house, the user is guaranteed to benefit from a fast and easy assembly process. This special connecting clip and its side supports ensure extremely stable and leak-tight pipe connections – and deliver even better extraction performance as a result.
Shut-off and control valves are used to restrict or completely block the flow of gases in order to adjust the flow to a plant’s operating conditions. They are available in stainless steel or black and galvanised sheet metal versions.
When closed, shut-off valves are essentially gas-tight (99.5% of the valve surface area). Flow-optimised valve profiles make it possible to use the valves at high flow velocities, where turbulence and the need for adjustments are low. Maintenance-free angle joints provide for low-play transmission in the case of multi-blade valves. The valves come in sturdy housings made of sheet steel and have fixed flanges (rounded form) or frames (angular form) for connection according to DIN EN 12220 or DIN 24193/R1-R3, and are designed for direct installation in the pipe or duct system.
A large temperature range, a low coefficient of friction and excellent chemical resistance are the characteristic features of our solid-lubricated, maintenance-free plain bearings.
The standard version of our shut-off and control valves can be used at temperatures up to 300°C (special version up to 450°C). A wide variety of options is available for operating the valves. These include hand control for manual operation, as well as pneumatic and electric drives for automatic operation.
Scheuch also provides chimneys and exhaust air pipes for plants. Whatever the application, it has the solution to match.
The design of the exhaust air cabin is based on the requirements of the process, and is available in stainless steel and black sheet metal versions. Sound insulation measures can be integrated as a space-saving solution. Ladders and steps, measuring platforms, and various types of measuring connection are also available.
