Scheuch electrostatic precipitators are an efficient, beautifully engineered solution for particulate control in biomass-fuelled boiler plants. They can be installed in any application that uses wood and wood waste, bark and so on.Electrostatic precipitators are exclusively used for dedusting clean gas dust loads of up to 10 mg/Nm³. With up to three electrical fields installed in series, it is possible to achieve degrees of separation of as much as 99% and above. Their real standout feature is their robust design, which takes account of operational modes and fuel fluctuations in practice. As compared to filter versions with round tubes, cartridge filters offer three times the filter area with the same construction volume, enabling a reduction in investment and operating costs. Cartridge filters are typically used as intake filters for central compressed air systems and in bagging and packaging plants used in the plaster and dry mortar manufacturing industry, for instance.
Pipe cartridge filters are the ideal choice when it comes to dedusting low volume flow rates (200 to 500 m3/h) with fine, free-flowing and extremely dry dusts in additive silos, bag stations and manual dosers. The pressure shock-proof versions (10 bar) are the perfect solution for pre-hopper dedusting in pneumatic conveying systems. Safety filters with a cartridge filter design are used for protecting components connected downstream of a main filter (such as compressors). As a result, these units are also protected in the event that larger quantities of dust get into the clean gas because of damage to the tube.
