Scheuch Will Focus On Effectiveness And Efficiency
We will welcome an international trade fair audience to Hannover for this year’s LIGNA 2011, where we will exhibit in the same location as previously: Hall 27, Stand E05.
Scheuch’s motto for this year’s event is “Technology for clean air – effective and efficient”. Under this theme, the company will present not only the advantages of its product lineup, equipment and technologies for the wood processing and wood based panel industries, but rather will also emphasize the company’s overall accomplishments in achieving the highest levels of effectiveness and efficiency. In other words, when compared to other suppliers, the overall advantage gained by collaborating with Scheuch.
By focusing on what it means to be effective – “to do the right thing” - and efficient – “to do the things right”, Austria-based Scheuch GmbH has utilized the period of general economic decline to position itself to meet the new realities of the future, to exploit cross-sector effects in a synergistic way, and to further optimize products, services and processes. In addition to providing individualized solutions, the company has also committed to accelerate its push for a generalized standardization in plant engineering and construction. And last but not least, Scheuch is committed to developing a higher degree of flexibility for meeting future market fluctuations and above all to generate added value for the customer in all its activities.
From Scheuch’s point of view, effectiveness for the operator means the ability to effectively fulfill the expectations and needs of the customer. With measures, for example, designed to reduce the dimensions of complex systems, to undertake the gradation of technologies into performance classes, but also to scale the high technical standards of industrial systems to work in smaller plants.
Scheuch is committed to doing so with the highest levels of efficiency. Its focus on a “single source solution” means a particularly efficient implementation for both sides. To this end, Scheuch can draw on a high level of expertise with process know-how from a variety of sectors and application fields – a knowledge base that has only grown as the result of years of close collaboration with customers.
With its focus on consulting, planning and project management, on technical implementation with the help of systems engineering, on research and development as well as construction in its own in-house manufacturing facility, and on assembly and commissioning services that include plant maintenance and emission measurements as part of a Life Cycle Service program, Scheuch is able to offer the highest levels of quality, reliability and plant availability. This unique scope of services benefits operators not only in the case of new plants, but also with respect to preventive maintenance or modernization and upgrades.
Scheuch’s trade show exhibit will focus on four key areas in the company’s program of products and services:
For the wood processing industry, Scheuch offers effective extraction systems to meet the respective needs of users ranging from sawmill operators to furniture manufacturers (including woodworking and wood processing, as well as processors of solid wood and construction materials). Tailored to various operating conditions and differing degrees of simultaneity in the attached production machinery, they offer a level of system flexibility that ensures considerable leeway and low costs when implementing future machinery conversions, expansions or adaptations.
For modern extraction systems, the topic of energy consumption, especially with respect to energy efficiency, will be demonstrated in a transparent and comprehensible way using an EDP-supported computational method. Created in close cooperation with the FH Rosenheim, School for Wood Technology, this method is today able to utilize real-time feedback based on the evaluation of values from machines in actual operation.
The topic of “Scheuch’s new safety standard” will include a presentation of additional important details about the company’s unique and now complete concept for fire and explosion protection.
For the wood based panel industry, Scheuch will offer visitors a look at the company’s overall competence in this field. Using product presentations and the latest application examples, visitors will be shown how effective solutions to problems can be achieved efficiently for international customers. For this, Scheuch has key core components that it manufactures in house (rotary valves, fans, filters, sifters), as well as a tiered and optimally coordinated program of technologies (SAP, SENA, SEKA, SABA) for meeting different requirements with respect to the cleaning of waste gases. The goal is the highest possible level of efficiency, achieved through ongoing development on the basis of extensive practical experience and optimization measures as part of a continuous R&D effort and including, for example, CFD simulations. In sum, Scheuch is unmatched by any other supplier in its role as a credible partner to the wood based panel industry for optimal solutions.
To clean flue gases generated by the thermal combustion of biomass fuels, Scheuch offers a broad product program that effectively meets all currently valid exhaust air norms with respect to emission limits and that makes it possible to achieve efficient system solutions through the use of process combinations. Matched to the respective fuel type and a customer’s specific “heat utilization concept”, Scheuch complements its flue gas cleaning systems with patented ERCS heat recovery systems that can be optimized on a case by case basis to meet specific heat requirements. Depending on the application, it is also possible to extract heat energy at different levels and transfer it to the “most efficient” heat carrier. In this way, up to 50% of the boiler thermal output can be recovered and up to 30% of the fuel can be saved, or the investment costs for the heating plant can be reduced by up to 20%.
Short amortization times of circa two years justify the investment cost for the integration of new ERCS systems or the retrofitting of existing plants with ERCS systems.
Based in Dorf an der Pram/Upper Austria, the Scheuch subsidiary SGS Industrial Services GmbH concentrates its core competency on the mechanical assembly, the electrical installation and the maintenance of industrial plants. The company’s field of activities covers a broad spectrum and features tailor-made services that address the special characteristics and needs of each respective sector.
The SGS Group is growing continuously. An international clientele of plant manufacturers and operators on four continents trust and rely on the know-how of this assembly and installation expert.
