Technology for NESHAP compliance
NESHAP requires cement plants to limit emissions of Mercury, THC, HCl, NOx, SOx and PM by September 2013. Scheuch has successfully developed technology and equipment to meet these compliance standards. Since cement plants experience a wide range of pollutant concentrations, depending on raw-material and available fuels, the challenge is to find tailor-made concepts for efficient and affordable technologies.
Scheuch‘s "Multi-Pollutant Control System" is based on a Conditioned Dry-Sorption Technology and can reduce with Hydrated Lime, Sodium Bi-Carbonate or Activated Carbon Injection all relevant pollutants, such as Mercury, SOx, HCl, HF, dioxins and THC.
For Reduction of Nitrogen Oxides, Scheuch has optimized the SCR technology and made it applicable for the Cement Industry. Depending on the plant configuration, either a "semi-high-dust" or "low-dust" SCR System can be offered to achieve very low NOx emissions.
In the field of PM (Particulate Matter), Scheuch has a long standing experience in large-scale Bag Houses for more than 40 years, and many plants around the world stand testimony to this by achieving outlet emission levels less than 2 mg/Nm³.
Consult with Scheuch regarding your current pollution control system and we will propose a customized solution to fulfill the new NESHAP compliance requirements.
