Primary Dedusting
Broadly speaking, the cement manufacturing process can be broken down into four main areas:- Preparation of the raw mixture
- Clinker production
- Cement grinding
- Packaging and transport
With respect to dust emissions, there are essentially three main sources of dust in these areas: the raw mixture mill/kiln system, the clinker cooler and the cement mill. Fabric filters are used almost exclusively for dedusting these so-called primary dedusting points (volume flows up to 2,000,000 Nm3) because of increased environmental demands. In contrast to secondary dedusting points, the design of these primary dedusting points requires the control and consideration of a series of additional process parameters.
