BIO-SENA

The BIO-SENA process is the ideal combination of the biologically based SABA system and the electrostatic SENA system. It is primarily used in the production of MDF board.

Its main advantages are:
  • High separation performance, i.e., very good dust and aerosol separation (“blue haze”), good separation of organic contents
  • Low operating costs because of low maintenance and cleaning requirements resulting from the self-cleaning effects of the condensation system, no or little consumption of fresh water because of system-based recondensation of water from the exhaust gas, integrated treatment of recirculating water, low pressure losses because of bottom-to-top flow profile.
  • High availability because of the redundant character of the two-stage design and because the system has been tested and proven in actual practice.
A special feature of this process is its ability to remove the steam plume using pre-warmed cooling air from the condensation stage.
