ROTARY KILN

Most kiln filters are designed for combined and direct operation, whereby the majority of operating time takes place with the raw mixture mill in operation, i.e., in combined operation. The hot kiln exhaust gases (270 – 400° C) are completely or partially used to dry the raw materials in the raw mixture mill and only then enter the filtration plant at a temperature of 100 – 170° C.

When the raw mixture mill is shut down (direct operation), the filter receives the kiln gas directly from the pre-heater unit, making it necessary to install an upstream cooling system in order to cool the kiln exhaust gas to a acceptable temperature for the particular grade of filter bag in use.
