Foundries
Depending on the application requirements, components cast from ferrous or non-ferrous metals are manufactured using several different processing steps. This creates dust-laden exhaust air, primarily from furnace aggregates (hot- and cold blast cupola furnaces, induction furnaces, and crucible furnaces) but also from secondary sources during casting in crucible or casting lines. Finally, dust is also created at shakeout and knockout stations and during the processing, cooling and regeneration of sand.
