The SENA process uses a single-stage wet electrostatic precipitator equipped with honeycombed collection surfaces. This system is primarily used in the production of particleboard and OSB board.

Its main advantages are:

• High separation performance, i.e., good dust and aerosol separation (“blue haze”)
• Low operating costs because of a bottom-to-top flow profile that reduces pressure loss and low maintenance requirements.
• High availability because the system has been tested and proven in actual practice.
