LUVO/PLUME REMOVAL
By using a LUVO, heat can be used downstream to dry fuel, preheat air for the conveyor dryer, or for plume removal. For these applications, the LUVO can be used singly or in combination. Plume removal, or de-pluming, is a technique for preventing or reducing the stream plume that exits the exhaust stack. The steam plume is dependent above all on the exhaust gas dew point and ambient conditions (temperature, humidity).The necessary cooling of the vapor mixture after it exits the exhaust stack is achieved by mixing the two airstreams - cooled flue gases and heated external air - in the LUVO.
