Centrifugal and Gravity Separators
Mechanical and pneumatic separationCentrifugal and gravity separators comprise all mechanical separators used for the simple removal of dust and separation of particles from the exhaust gases created by combustion processes. Included are tangential cyclones, spark and rotary separators, and axial and multi-cyclone units. This technology is used above all to provide spark protection in fabric filter plants.
We include in this category our systems for mechanical and pneumatic separation. Whereas mechanical separators such as cyclones, multi-cyclones and others are mostly used only as pre-separators inside complete dedusting plants, our pneumatic separators are used in a wide variety of industrial applications. Examples include the classification of chips and fibres in the wood based panel industry, filler removal in the sand and crushed stone industries or the recycling of construction materials.
