ENERGY-SAVING SEPAS-PLUS SYSTEM
The extraction system with decisive advantages
As part of our ongoing product and plant optimisation program, we have been able to improve our patented SEPAS extraction system, particularly with respect to energy consumption. Thanks to the integration of a new control unit and a multi-functional Touch Panel control unit, the new system offers a series of additional advantages. Because of the many new advantages, this system is now called SEPAS-Plus.
The decisive plus points:
- Higher productivity because of the flexibility of the extraction unit
- More cost-effective production through lower energy consumption
- Increased operating safety because chip deposits are ruled out and because the positioning of the fan on the clean gas side of the unit eliminates the fan as a potential ignition source
- Reduced heating costs because there is never more air extracted than actually necessary

Patented air activation system with jet injectors
This ingenious solution makes the difference
With single-line technology, the extraction capacity of the entire system can be reduced to the volume of air actually required by those production machines that are currently operating. In contrast to conventional multi-line extraction systems, it is not necessary to maintain a minimum air velocity in the main extraction line with SEPAS-Plus. Even if only some of the available machines are operating, the patented air activation system ensures the reliable transport of dust and chips.For this reason, SEPAS-Plus combines consistently good extraction performance with energy savings that are significantly higher than possible with units using multiple extraction lines - even when these other units have their fans installed on their clean gas side.

This graph shows the measured power consumption of SEPAS-Plus over an entire working day in a joiner’s workshop running 22 production machines. The calculated energy consumption of a multi-line extraction unit with fans installed on the clean gas side is more than 17% higher than with SEPAS-Plus.Increased productivity - the unique advantage:
When modifying or expanding the machinery park, only the short pipe that connects the production machine to the main extraction pipe must be modified or re-installed. An additional machine can be connected to the main pipe at virtually any location without having to re-dimension the main pipe. This flexibility and the simple, cost-effective and quick adaptation of the extraction system increases the productivity of your plant.As a rule, the connection of a new machine to a group extraction system requires the re-dimensioning of the entire pipeline as far as the filter, so that extraction capacity can be matched to the required volume of air and the extraction speed. In contrast, the cost of adapting the SEPAS-Plus system is significantly lower.
