SURFACE TECHNOLOGY SELAS-PLUS
SELAS-Plus: The Extraction System for Surface Coating Applications
The requirements:Because of an increase in special designs and custom-built machinery, the proportion of manual coating applications (manual spray stations) involving wood and metal is on the rise in both the craft and industrial sectors. It is necessary to remove the overspray resulting from the use of water- or solvent-based coatings in the interest of reducing workplace and environmental emissions (MAK- and TRK-values, new VOC directives,…).
The solution is SELAS-Plus
Ongoing product and plant optimisation resulted in an improved and supplemented program with the product designation SELAS-Plus.
The program offers individual and complete solutions for the sectors "Spraying - Drying - Grinding" using a sophisticated modular system. With respect to technical design, flexibility, reduced operating costs and user-friendly operation, it fulfils the same demanding standards satisfied by SEPAS-Plus, the patented chip extraction system that has proven itself hundreds of times.
SELAS-Plus: A perfect and complete system

| 1) Adaptive airflow routing using adjustable extraction slots | 6) In-ceiling fresh-air supply with microfilter mats |
| 2) Adjustable ambient air percentage (up to 60%) | 7) Floor extraction - the top solution for the most demanding applications |
| 3) Direct-drive, high efficiency fans | 8) Choice of pre-separation options using a cardboard filter or impact plates with a microfilter stage |
| 4) Separate drying room with optimum adaptability | 9) Compact unit for fresh air and exhaust air with rotary heat exchanger and external bypass |
| 5) Flexible, cost-effective cabin-based system | 10) Custom solutions for the coating storage area |
The decisive advantages
Best possible surface and product qualityincluding perfect high gloss finishes. Possible because flow-optimised air ducts and the ability to control air volume and temperature eliminate turbulence and eddying.
Energy-saving operation
through three economical operating modes, automatic shut-off during interruptions in spraying, heat recovery, ambient air operation in the drying room and variable-speed, direct-drive fans with an efficiency level of >80%.
Flexible, worker-friendly operation
includes the ability to spray workpieces from any direction (floor extraction variant); draft-free working environment with solvent-free air; noise levels are significantly lower than mandated levels.
Reduced capital investment costs
using a standardised modular system for different plant designs and sizes; cost-effective cabin system (in comparison to brick work).
Simple, uncomplicated handling
via a graphical control panel that allows the operator to set and monitor all operating parameters. Also features a maintenance display and password protection.
Low maintenance costs
through re-design of the fresh-air and exhaust-air ductwork; longer cleaning intervals because of high-capacity cardboard filter elements (up to 20 kg/m²).
